Becoming free of the binding forces of the family
It does not mean that you should try to get rid of it.
I wanted happiness and freedom and I experienced it but then the issues of my chaotic family had pulled me back. I got triggered again and again and I thought there was no way out. Till I faced it. Till I looked at the mechanism that is playing itself out in me. I looked at it like looking at something with a microscope and it was so liberating. To know what I have always known. And you can also know That.
Fear.
It is a word but with what energy! We either tend to give way too much importance to it or we try to avoid it. We can also use it as an excuse to not live our truth. At the same time it is so essential to investigate it. We do have to give it some attention, by understanding its appearance, where it comes from and to where it belongs and then it cannot have power over us.
Let us say that you feel so inspired about something, or just so happy for no reason. Then comes up the thought in you that it is not allowed! Very subtely or you just do not feel comfortable with your happiness. There is a sense of fear and a sense of anxiety there.
Now is the best time to gather some wisdom knowledge about the nature of fear:
1. The fear of being kicked out of the herd, kicked out of your family.
What can run in the background of your anxiety is this primal fear that you have to take part in the group otherwise you will be left alone and then alone you will die. „If I look only to myself and be happy and do not accommodate to the habits of the family, it can cause some error in the good old family system and it is my fault.“ Or whatever the thought in your case is.
It is a very normal reaction in your body and limbic brain! There is nothing wrong with this fear arising. What is wrong is your relationship with it. You are aware of it when it comes and you can learn to react differently to it.
We learned that fear is to be pushed away. But as a kind of animal, as human beings we need each other to survive. This need arises quite naturally as a survival mechanism in us. It is Nature.
This cannot be deleted and does not need to be deleted to awaken to your true self and to be who you really are. It is so important to understand where fears originate from and just see them for what they are.
We are not victims of fear. Unfortunately the spiritual search can enhance a kind of fight against fear. It must be realized that we are that which is aware of fear or any other emotions arising. We do not have to get rid of the limbic emotional binding nature of our brain and survival body. If it was not there we would eat our own babies! It protects the species. It is normal that this body feels it when a family member dies and we feel so attached! And it is okay!
I physically felt it in my chest as my father departed. Look at the elephants, they have similar limbic connection with their family members. They even go back every year to the same place where one member died. But they do not think that this is not spiritual or „I should not feel this attachment to my relative because that does not matter. I am nothingness so all these attachments are in the way.“
What you have to see through is this spiritual concept that your mind developed around normal biological limbic processes.
Freedom has nothing to do with having limbic attachments. Your body can live its survival mechanisms but you are free of it. More precisely there is not really a you called by your name who is free of it. Who you think yourself to be is a voice in your head. But you are even aware of the voice in your head. You are this awareness, still presence.
Wanting to get rid of fear and wanting to get rid of attachment in order to be free is a false concept. Stop getting rid of anything right now. Bring your attention to that which is reading these words, that which is aware of sitting or seeing.
Now coming back to the title of becoming free of the binding forces of the family means to understand the binding force is not the problem. It is there and you are free of it. You have always been free of it. But now by reading about it, you have gained clarity and your discriminating wisdom has been supported.
You are that which is aware of the fear and when you see it as it is it disappears and there is just this expansive consciousness.

We are all awareness free of everything but we must also acknowledge that there can be anxiety and PTSD in your body and brain caused by some trauma or childhood conditioning.
